Guarantee

Any guarantee issue regarding medical and dental therapies is a special case, as we are not only ‘manufacturing’ a product (i.e. an artificial crown or a filling), but we need to adapt it to functioning in a changing biological environment. In such an environment there are many unknown, individually changing variables. It is the responsibility and task of the doctor/dentist (of our colleagues in this case) to set the proper diagnosis, choose the suitable therapy and technique and apply it in the best way possible. But eventually the results of a therapy can be foreseen only statistically, but not exactly in a given case.

Based on the above mentioned our dentistry provides a unique system of guarantees based on the prognoses of dentist bibliography while being reasonable for patients. Generally speaking we can say that guarantee covers a wider sphere than the responsibility of dentists indicates. In other words, providing guarantees does not mean that our dentists or professional personnel have made a mistake – so You do not need to prove any mistake!
In certain cases (see below) when experience indicates (underpinned by the prognoses of dentist bibliography) the conditions of guarantee are stricter.

General conditions of guarantee:

• Guarantee is implied only to finished, full therapies. For therapies that are interrupted or carried out after significant delays, we do not provide guarantee even if the patient failed to appear at therapy appointments for reasons beyond his/her control (i.e. long-lasting illness).
• Guarantee is provided only for therapies whose costs have been fully settled.
• Guarantee requests have to be submitted on the official Guarantee request form prior to the therapy for which the guarantee is valid, begins.
• Guarantee is provided only if the patient maintains an adequate level of mouth hygiene, keeps the dentist’s instructions, uses the dental structure properly and participates in annual medical control.
• Guarantee in not provided:
• in case of a general disease that effects teeth and their environment, i.e. diabetes, osteoporosis, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, epilepsy, chronic reflux disease, bulimia, anorexia;
• in case of paradontitis;
• in case of harmful habitual behavior (grinding of teeth, biting of nails) damaging the dental structure;
• in case of certain medicinal treatments (i.e. taking medicines for epilepsy);
• in case the dental structure is damaged in any accident;
• in case the dental structure built up by our dentistry is adjusted or corrected by other dentists.
• Guarantee can become limited or deferred due to sudden and significant changes in body weight, or because of heavy smoking.
• Guarantee can not be provided for problems originating in any natural changes in the status of teeth, the gums or the tooth bed and bones of the jaw.
• Guarantee is provided for the actual therapy only, but not for additional costs (i.e. the travel costs or salary).
• Guarantee is not provided in cases when the patient chooses a therapy against the advice of the dentist, even knowing the low expected yield of healing.

Conditions of guarantee for therapies:

Fillings - 2 years

Any dental structure - 3 years

Root-canal treatments – Knowing that prognoses for root-canal treatment are highly varying, most misunderstanding is experienced in case of these treatments. Dentalia Dentistry provides a guarantee of 2 years for root-canal treatments which also includes the therapy of primer problems originating in consequential diseases. This may include the replacement of root-canal fillings, root-canal resection, tooth extraction – which are carried out by our dentistry free of charge.
Such treatment is carried out only once, as our experience indicates that in case of repeated problems other reasons (i.e. anatomy) result in worse prognoses and any treatment is carried out exclusively for the patient’s own risk and responsibility. Secondary consequences (i.e. replacement of an artificial crown, building up prosthesis) do not imply guarantee on behalf of us.
Though rarely, but may occur that underneath the newly built dental structure root-canal treatment becomes necessary.

No guarantee is provided for this problem by any other dentistry, while Dentalia, as equity towards our patients, offers guarantee for the following:
- Within 3 months after the new dental structure has been finalized and fixed, we carry out reasonably necessary root-canal treatment underneath it free of charge.
(Within this timeframe such – otherwise quite rare – problems are revealed practically for sure.)
For secondary consequences (possible replacement of an artificial crown or the drawing up of a new treatment plan) guarantee is not provided. (You may apply for equity – see below!)

Implants, Camlog - 5 years, DenTi - 2 years

Plaque formation depends on mouth hygiene and the composition of saliva, therefore we provide no guarantee for final removal.

Important! For certain treatments for which no guarantee is provided, you may apply for equity. Equity is provided on a case-to-case basis, being partial or complete, under the following conditions:

• The treatment in question would include an area treated by us no more than within two years’ time.
• The general conditions of guarantee are fulfilled. (See above.)
